Congratulations ! Tamae Watanabe (73 yrs) broke her own world record – International Everest Expedition North Side – Spring 2012

Asian Trekking organized a Dinner on the 27th May to honor the summitters for their excellent achievements and also for members who made an effort and we wish them all success always.

Present at the Dinner were Tamae Watanabe world record holder for the oldest woman Mt. Everest Summitter at 73 years, Mr. Bill Burke oldest Mt. Everest Summitter outside Asia , Mr. Gia Tortladze – Gorgian Paliamentarian and President of International Mountaineers Association, Mr. Noriyuki Muraguchi, Mr. Jan Morava, Mr. Vit Morava, the legendary Apa Sherpa – world record holder of 21 times summit of Mt.Everest, Phurba Sherpa- 7 times summit of Mt.Everest and Phura Nuru Sherpa- 3 times Mt.Everest Summit..

Also present were Ang Tshering Sherpa and staffs of Asian Trekking.

Mr. Ang Tshering thanked them all for coming to the dinner and wished them good luck for their flight back home.

25th May 2012, Friday:

Press Conference at Asian Trekking Premises

Asian Trekking organized a Press Conference to falicitate Ms. Tamae Watanabe

In the press meet Ms. Tamae Watanabe expressed her gratitude to Mr. Noriyuki Muraguchi, Asian Trekking family and the climbing sherpas of the Asian Trekking’s International Mt. Everest Expedition 2012 Sirdar Ningma Sherpa, Phurba Sherpa and Phura Nuru Sherpa. She said that she could not have made it to the summit without their support and help.

24th May 2012 Thursday:

Meanwhile members of the Inetnational Everest Expedition from the North side including record breaking climber Ms Tamae Watanabe and other climbers Mr. Noriyuki Muraguchi, Bill Burke , Ryszard Pawlowski, Iwona Zadarnowska Wingert, Paul Przemyslaw Kepczynski and climbing sherpas Phurba Sherpa and Phura Nuru Sherpa left base camp and is expected to reach the border this evening. They will cross over the border to Nepal early morning tomorrow 25th May and reach Kathmandu.

Asian Trekking will be organizing a press conference to hand over and felicitate with the Guinness World Record Certificate to MS.Tamae Watanabe; the world record holder of the OLDEST WOMAN EVEREST SUMMITEER on behalf of Guinness World Records on 25th May at 4 pm at Asian Trekking premises. Tamae Watanabe summitted Mt. Everest ON 19th May 2012 with Asian Trekking’s International Everest Expedition Spring 2012 from North Side of Mt.Everest (8848m) at the age of 73 years and 180 days.

20th May 2012 Sunday:

Asian Trekking’s International Everest Exp. team Bill Burke (70 yrs) of USA, Ryszard Jan Pawlowski of Poland and their climbing Sherpas Chhiring Phinjo Sherpa and Ang Mingma Sherpa left for summit push from Camp 3 (8300m) at 9 pm on Saturday. Ryszard Pawlowski of Poland and Chhiring Phinjo Sherpa reached the top at 6:15 am on Sunday morning the 20th May. Ryszard and Chhiring Phinjo are the only summiteers from North side of Everest to day due to high wind and bad weather.

Bill Burke (70 yrs) and Ang Mingma Sherpa turned back from 2nd step due to high wind and bad weather.

The summit team of Ms.Tamae Watanabe (73 yrs) arrived ABC (6400m) at 4 pm today.

19th May 2011 Saturday:

Asian Trekking’s International Everest Exp.2012 leader Ms.Tamae Watanabe (73 yrs) of Japan and Noriyuki Muraguchi from Japan with climbing sherpas, Mingma Sherpa, Phura Nuru Sherpa and Phurba Sherpa has left for the summit from camp 3 ( 8300m) at 8:30 pm last night, 18th May and the team successfully summited at 7 am Nepalese time on 19th May.

Ms.Tamae Watanbe who holds the record of the oldest woman Mt. Everest Summitter breaks her own record after 10 years at the age of 73. She has summitted Mt.Everest in 2002 at the age of 63. This is her 6th summit of 8000m peaks.

17th May 2012 Thursday:

Asian Trekking’s International Everest Exp.2012 – Japanese Leader Tamae Watanabe (73yrs) and Muraguch and their climbing sherpas Mingma Sherpa, Phura Nuru Sherpa and Phurba Sherpa are on their way to camp 2 ( 7700m). They plan to move to camp 3 (8300m) tomorrow, the 18th May for the summit push.

We just received information from Ang Mingma Sherpa from North Col that Bill Burke, Ryszard Jan Pawlowski, Paul P.Kepczynski and Iwona Z. Wingert and their climbing Sherpas reached Camp 1 at 7100m today for the their summit push.

David Klein is at base camp after rest and recuperation in Thingri.

15th May 2012 Tuesday:

Tamae Watanabe and Muraguchi are at advance base camp and planning for summit push.

Bill Burke is reaching advance base camp today.

13th May 2012 Sunday:

Positions of the Asian Trekking’s International Everest Exp.2012 Members are as follows:

Bill Burke arrived Base Camp and plans to move Intermediate Camp tomorrow the 14th May

Japanese – Way up at Intermediate Camp

Davide Klien – At Base Camp

Poland Team – At ABC

As per the information received from ABC of Everest North Side, the rope fixing team have fixed rope up to 8300m. The rope fixing team could not fix the rope above 8300m. due to high wind, so they have decended down for rest. The rope above 8300m. will be fixed only 18th and 19th May. Now the summit bid will only be possible after 19th May from north side.

12th May 2012 Saturday

11th May 2012 Friday:

Asian Trekking’s International Everest Exp.2012 climbing Sherpas have ferried loads and established camp 3 (8300m)on the north side.

David Klein went upto camp 2 ( 7700m) and has returned to base camp. He is in Thingri for rest and waiting for good weather conditions for summit push.

Tamae Watanabe and Muraguch have returned to base camp for rest and recuperation. As part of their acclimatization trip, they have spent a night at North col.

Polish climbers led by Ryszard Pawlowski are also at advance base camp and north col.

7th May 2012 Monday:

Sirdar Mingma Sherpa just informed us from ABC that David Klien moved to North Col and he plans to move to Camp 2 (7700m) tomorrow, the 8th May. One member from Polish team also at North Col, two Polish members are at ABC and two members are at Intermediate Camp. Japanese Team Leader Tamae Watanabe and Muraguch have returned to base camp on 5th May for rest and recuperation. They had successfully climbed upto North col. They plan to move ABC tomorrow, the 8th May.

At the mean time, the rope fixing team already fixed the rope upto Camp 3 (8300m) today.

5th May 2012 Saterday:

Tamae Watanabe and Muraguch have returned to base camp for rest and recuperation. They had successfully climbed upto North col.

4th May 2012 Friday:

Japanese climbers Ms. Tamae Watanabe , Mr. Noriyuki Muraguchi and their climbing Sherpas went to North Col again as part of acclimatization and returned to advance base camp 6400m. Rest of the members are at Base Camp.

29th April 2012 Sunday:

Mingma Sherpa, Sirdar of Asian Trekking’s International Everest Expedition Spring 2012 informed from ABC that Japanese climbers Ms. Tamae Watanabe , Mr. Noriyuki Muraguchi and their climbing Sherpas went to north Col on 28th April and returned to advance base camp 6400m.they returned to base camp today for rest.

Ryszard Pawlowski , Iwona Zadarnowska Wingert, Maciej Przyborski, Malgorzata Sylwia Waszkowska and Paul Przemyslaw Kepczynski are at ABC.they are planning to goto North Col tomorrow.

26th April 2012 Thurdsday:

Japanese climbers Ms. Tamae Watanabe and Mr. Noriyuki Muraguchi are at advance base camp 6400m.

Ryszard Pawlowski is also at ABC. Iwona Zadarnowska Wingert, Maciej Przyborski, Malgorzata Sylwia Waszkowska and Paul Przemyslaw Kepczynski have gone down to base camp for rest.

David Klein went upto North Col and returned back to ABC.

22nd April 2012

All Polish members (5) arrived ABC (6500m) and their health conditions are good. Japanes and Hungarian members returned to BC. They are planning to move to ABC on 24th April.

21st April 2012:

All members (Polish/Jap/Hungarian) arrived intermediate camp and spent a night there. Their health conditions are good.

16th April 2012:

David Klein from Hungary left for the Tibet border on 10th April and·Polish team for Mt. Everest led by Ryszard Pawlowski crossed the border to Tibet on the 10th April.

Ms. Tamae Watanabe, who is the oldest women to summit Mt. Everest will again try to scale Mt. Everest from the north side at the age of 73. She Flew Lhasa on 10th April with her team members.

The leader Mr. Ryszard Powlowski crossed the border to Tibet on the 10thApril. Ryszard already climbed 12 of the 14, 8000m Peaks. He also climbed Mt. Amadablam more than 20 times and Mt. Aconcagua 17 times.
