Detailed Itinerary

1Day 1
Drive: KTM-Pokhara by tourist bus - Overnight at Hotel
Drive: KTM-Pokhara by tourist bus - Overnight at Hotel.
2Day 2
Drive: Pokhara - Phedi and trek to Dhampus (1650m) (3 hrs trek)
From Pokhara about 45 minutes drive past lovely farmlands and villages that takes you to Phedi, the trekking into Annapurana Sanctuary begins as you start heading upwards to Dhampus! About 3 hours trek through beautiful forest and picturesque countryside, Dhampus is one of the rare hilltops from where one can closely view a spectacular long range of Himalayas! Among other peaks of the Annapurna range, Annapurna south peaks, the Fishtail, Dhaulagiri, Hiunchuli and Lanjung Himal can be viewed. Dhampus is not just famous for its views, but in itself is a culturally rich hilltop belonging to the ethnic class of Gurung people.
3Day 3
Dhampus to Landrung (1565m) (6 hrs trek)
From Dhampus you continue up the ridge to Landrung, through rhododendron cloaked forest, experienced at its best during the spring bloom. The descent after the long haul uphill will bring you to the enchanting Gurung settlement of Landrung.
4Day 4
Trek - Landrung to Chomrong (2170m) (6 hrs trek)
Chomrong is a beautiful village nestled in the lap of giant Annapurna Massive, reached after a steep descent through the dense and dark forest, from where one can have a prominent view of the magnificent Fishtail summit of Machhapuchhare.
5Day 5
Trek - Chomrong to Himalaya Hotel (2920m) (5 hrs trek)
The trail from Chomrong to Hotel Himalaya is dotted with rhododendron cloaked ridges, bamboo forests and mountainous terrains. You cross Modi Khola, pass through Khuldigar, Bamboo and Dovan and finally reach Hotel Himalaya.
6Day 6
Trek to Machapuchare base camp (3700m) (7 hrs trek)
From Hotel Himalaya the trail to Machapuchare base camp is series of upwards and downward paths, as you close and open up to new trails, you enter the Annapurna Circuit Sanctuary, which appears like a huge, natural amphitheatre surrounded by stunning snow capped mountain which include Annapurna I, II, III and IV and the magnificent Fishtail summit of Machhapuchhare. Once you cross several lodges and inns at Deaorali and Bagar you finally reach Machhapuchhare Base Camp, a grassy moraine platform.
7Day 7
Explore around the Annapurna Sanctuary (4095m) - trek to Dobhan (2600m) (7 hrs trek)
The name Annapurna Sanctuary named aptly with the spectacular mountains surrounding the place is considered to be the abode of Hindu Goddesses Annapurna and Gangapurna. Looking above at the mighty giants one cannot help but be flabbergasted and awed by the enigma of nature!
A trek downhill with picturesque views of endless flora and fauna will lead you to Dobhan.
8Day 8
Trek to Chomrong (2100m) (6 hrs trek)
As you continue trekking up the ridge you will pass through dense forests of rhododendron, bamboo, cross Kali Gandaki, world’s deepest river gorge and Modi Khola (river) to arrive at the village of Chomrong.
9Day 9
Trek to Tadapani (2630m) (6 hrs trek)
Tadapani is sprinkled with lodges and vendors to meet the requirements of the travelers and is ideal to have the glimpses of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhare.
10Day 10
Trek to Ghorepani ((2860m) (6 hrs trek)
The first few hours of the beautiful trail to Ghorepani hugs the creek and ascends to reach Deorali. From Deorali proceeding through steep trails takes about 3 hours to reach Ghorepani.
11Day 11
Visit Poon Hill (3193m) and trek to Ulleri (1960m)
The trek from Ghorepani to Poon Hill is relatively an easy one. Meandering through the beautiful ethnic villages, rhododendron forests amidst the expansive beauty of nature you reach Poon Hill, which offers one of the best views of the Himalayan Panorama of the mesmerizing Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Himchuli, Machhapuchre and other neighboring peaks.
12Day 12
Trek to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara (6 hrs trek) - Overnight at Hotel
Nayapul brings the stark contrast of civilization back and even as the memories of the journey pulsate alive in your mind, you are reeled back to reality! Nevertheless, the energy, vigor, excitement of the entire experience enriches your very core making it worth every bit of hardship you had to endure. You feel alive!!!
